LEMMY

Doomenicus started as a one band man in 2001 by Doomenicus Will who
acted as singer and songwriter.Doomenicus produced their first demo"
Suffering of Souls"to much critical acclaim in underground doom metal
circles.The next five years however Doomenicus remained frozen until
Murnau who worked in many local bands enlisted Doomenicus in a Jammed
Funeral Doom/Drone project "Remember November".At the end of 2006 they
were joined by Ignis Fatuus(guitar) and his brother Crazoyde(drums).This
brings to the demo kindly sent to me by Murnau.

The 3 track demo is simply one of the strongest demo's i have ever heard.
Starting with the track "Cold Embrace" and a riff that reeks of traditional
doom greatness,the quality is obivious.Bands like Solitude Aternus and
Saint Vitus spring to mind when you first hear this song.But they are
no rip off band,they have a sound of their own thanks partly to Doomenicus
striking vocal approach.Creepy and sinister,they are a perfect vocal
sound to match the stunning riffs and powerful arrangements.

Second track is called"Mercy and Forgiveness" and is another winner.Full
of all the stuff that makes Doom Metal what it is.Once again the quality
of songwriting is of the highest standards.This is Doom Metal the way
it was meant to be played.Heavy,epic and scary as hell.The guitar work
is exceptional.

Third track is "She Haunts You" and continues the high quality of the previous
two songs.Haunting with a riff and vocal that gets under your skin.Bands
like Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass would have a lot to fear from this
band.If there is a band to steal the Doom Metal Crown from these guys,
Doomenicus could be it.

They have a album is the works called "Sacred" which should be ready
sometime mid 2008.
